Position Overview

District Overview

Kiewit Technology Group’s (KTG) mission is to deliver project schedule and cost certainty by employing technology designed by and for the construction industry. Our team deploys apps to the field that increase profitability by maximizing the way we use our people and resources in daily operations. KTG uses the Kiewit Management System (KMS), which includes systems and tools that manage every part of Kiewit’s business and lifecycle of a project, to improve planning and day-to-day execution in the field by giving our people real-time data to make faster, smarter decisions. This position will be based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.  This position has a hybrid schedule that includes an option of working from home part of the time.


• Refine and enhance the Kiewit technology solutions strategy and roadmap.
• Help Kiewit continue its growth into the being a data-driven company by identifying cutting-edge technologies that can solve business problems we have today.
• Work with KTG leadership to ensure the technology solution's goals support the business needs and initiatives.
• Accountable for technical integrity, fit-for-purpose, and alignment with product and technical architecture strategy.
• Develop and promote corporate architecture best practices and standards
• Work across multiple domains to facilitate meetings with Business stakeholders, Project Managers, IT Leaders, Business Leaders, and Solution Leads to identify and suggest options for solutions that align with business needs.
• Work closely with product teams and business during inception, ideation, user-centered design, and solution design phases of application lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and Application Architects to understand architecture and application roadmap.
• Works closely with delivery teams to ensure proper hand-off of the project.
• Drive roadmap definition for existing and future products
• Proactively identify opportunities to enable business results with technology solutions.
• Ability to lead, influence, and motivate the organization to achieve results
• Document and communicate complex concepts effectively to a diverse group of stakeholders.


• 3+ years of experience in IT Architecture Roles
• Previous experience aligning technology roadmaps with business goals and initiatives.
• Strong communicator with the ability to translate technical terms and concepts into graphics and business terms.
• Experience working with all levels of an organization.
• Proven ability to develop great relationships with co-workers, credibility with leadership, and rapport for getting things done with stakeholders.
• Experience selecting technology solutions that meet requirements are cost-conscious and align with Kiewit's technology goals and roadmap.
• Familiarity with an architecture methodology or framework
• Agile development experience
• Ability to Travel (<10%)
• Comfortable with conflict and conflict resolution
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and lead teams through to more defined and actionable terms
• Presents an open mind when working with stakeholders and business
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortability with public speaking and speaking in front of large groups
• Construction or Engineering experience a plus
