Responsibilities
Kiewit Corporation is seeking a self-motivated individual to work as a Staff Tax Accountant in our Corporate Tax Department. Responsibilities include:
• Preparation of personal property tax compliance, ensuring timely completion
• Preparation of tax incentive compliance, ensuring timely completion
• Analyze tax impact of business transactions and developments
• Monitor and analyze impact of tax legislation
• Identify and research tax issues
• Assist with tax audits
• Support ongoing and new projects within the department
• Examine and evaluate financial and information systems, recommending controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity
Qualifications
This position requires self-awareness and initiative. This individual must be assertive to take on learning activities and grasp developmental opportunities. A successful candidate will be highly motivated and have the ability to build relationships quickly and naturally. These relationships will bring this candidate the credibility needed to operate as a successful business partner within the Kiewit Companies.
• 0 - 3 years of tax or accounting experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
• Ability to conduct research
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proven technical abilities
• Strong computer skills
• Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
• Willing and able to put in the time required to meet deadlines
• Able to work independently, and as part of a team
• Some travel may be required
