Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer specializing in full-stack or backend development to join our dynamic team in Omaha, Nebraska. This role focuses on creating robust, scalable, and secure data-driven applications within cloud environments. Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade data applications and software solutions that meet evolving business needs.
  • Design and implement scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and intuitive user-facing applications using modern technologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with data engineering teams to optimize data ingestion processes, enhance data warehouses, and leverage lakehouse architectures for maximum efficiency.
  • Create applications that empower analytics, reporting, workflow automation, and enable machine learning integration to support informed decision-making.
  • Seamlessly integrate new and existing solutions with enterprise resource planning (ERP), human resources information systems (HRIS), customer relationship management (CRM), and financial platforms.
  • Produce clean, well-documented code adhering to software engineering standards, ensuring maintainability and scalability of systems.
  • Enhance system reliability, security, and performance by conducting regular optimization and code reviews.
  • Contribute to technical strategy and architecture discussions, helping define long-term technology roadmaps aligned with company goals.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and design durable solutions for production issues, improving platform stability and user experience.
  • Partner with DevOps teams to establish continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, implement automated testing, and embrace infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to enterprise security protocols, governance policies, and data privacy regulations throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Stay informed about emerging cloud technologies, AI advancements, and modern development frameworks to continuously elevate software capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline is required.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in software engineering with a strong focus on enterprise-grade application development.
  • Proven expertise in building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures that support complex business workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience developing cloud-native applications on platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, with an emphasis on scalability and security.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relational database systems including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, and preferred experience with NoSQL databases.
  • Strong skills in integrating applications with enterprise APIs and diverse data platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability.
  • Proficiency in version control systems such as Git, and fluency in CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Deep understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and methodologies for creating maintainable, scalable solutions.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments, contributing effectively to iterative development cycles and cross-functional collaboration.
