Position Overview

Kiewit Technology Group (KTG) is looking for a Senior Systems Analyst to join our team and ensure the integrity, availability, and reliability of our data infrastructure. This role requires strong expertise in Snowflake, Power BI, SSRS, MSSQL, and SSAS to monitor, and optimize data pipelines, reporting solutions, and analytics platforms. You will work closely with data engineers and business stakeholders to ensure seamless data operations.

Location

This is located at our office in LaVista, NE near Omaha, NE. This position is on-site, and does not offer remote or hybrid opportunities. We do not offer relocation for this position. 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Data Reliability & Quality: Monitor and maintain data integrity, consistency, and availability across Snowflake, MSSQL, and SSAS environments. 
  • Monitor & Improve Performance: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in queries, dashboards, and reports within Snowflake, Power BI, SSRS, and MSSQL.
  • Automate Data Monitoring: Implement alerting and monitoring solutions to proactively detect data issues and discrepancies.
  • Support BI & Reporting Tools: Manage and optimize Power BI and SSRS reports to provide business users with reliable insights.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with data engineers and business teams to define data reliability best practices.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure data security and compliance with company and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in computer science, information systems, or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in data reliability engineering, data engineering, software engineering or database administration. 
  • Proficiency in Snowflake, MSSQL, SSRS, and SSAS for database management and reporting. · Experience with Power BI for data visualization and analytics.
  • Strong SQL skills for query optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. 
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline automation. · Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools for data reliability. 
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices. · Proven ability to mentor less experienced members of the team.
  • Expertise at managing multiple projects and/or initiatives at a time while navigating gray areas of responsibility and collaborating with others to find optimal solutions 
  • Excellent decision-making, risk-taking, and critical thinking skills for problem identification and solution recommendation
