Position Overview

As a Platform Administrator, you will provide Tier 2 technical support and platform administration across Kiewit’s enterprise systems. You will troubleshoot escalated issues, manage access to business-critical platforms, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure system reliability and performance. This role is part of an established and collaborative team and is ideal for proactive individuals who take ownership of issues and are eager to learn and grow in platform administration, automation, and cloud technologies.

Location

This is a full time in office role located on our LaVista, NE campus. This role requires in office hours M-F from 8:00am - 5:00pm. This role also requires some on call responsibilities.  

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 support by troubleshooting and resolving escalated technical issues
  • Support administration of user access and permissions across business-critical platforms
  • Perform routine system checks, monitoring, and maintenance tasks
  • Follow established processes to diagnose issues and escalate more complex problems as needed
  • Collaborate with team members and partner teams to resolve issues
  • Document issues, resolutions, and standard procedures
  • Assist with process improvements and automation efforts

Qualifications

Required: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2–4 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a related technical role
  • Experience troubleshooting common enterprise technologies (e.g., Microsoft 365, file shares, system configurations)
  • Basic understanding of identity and access management, including permissions and group management (e.g. Active Directory or similar systems)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and follow through on issue resolution
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach and strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to follow Kiewit standards and policies

 

Preferred:

  • Exposure to scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python)
  • Basic understanding of networking or firewall concepts
  • Experience working in a service desk or customer support environment
