Position Overview

The Kiewit Technology Group is hiring a Project Manager to deliver measurable value to Kiewit technology projects. This role plans and coordinates work across workstream and development teams, applying Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches as appropriate. Success in this role is measured by the on-time, on-budget, and in-scope delivery of solutions that meet the company’s needs. This role offers access to mentorship, training resources and continued professional development.

Location

This is a full-time in-office role located on our LaVista, NE campus. This is not a remote or hybrid opportunity, we are not offering relocation assistance for this role. 

Responsibilities

• Lead technology projects of varying complexity through to the delivery phase.

• Create and maintain detailed project, resource, and financial plans, and risk/issue logs to ensure on-time, on-budget, and on-target delivery.  Ensure timely and accurate reporting, including monthly forecasting.

• Manage project risks, actions, issues, dependencies, and change requests, escalating proactively and driving mitigation plans to closure.

• Serve as the primary point of contact and manage work between workstreams and delivery teams, ensuring needs are understood and reflected in project and resource plans, timelines, and financials.  Manage dependencies and hand-offs to keep delivery on track.  Encourage and inspire the teams to achieve results.

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies or Waterfall/hybrid meetings, keeping sessions efficient and focused so participants' time is well spent.

• Track and communicate project status, and performance to stakeholders in clear and concise formats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, engineering, project management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 3–5+ years of project management experience toward IT or technology-related project delivery.

• Demonstrated experience coordinating with cross-functional teams.

• PMP, CAPM, CSM, or PMI-ACP certification preferred.

• Familiarity with SDLC concepts and modern technology delivery practices.

• Comfort learning and applying new approved software and AI-based tools as part of standard project workflows.

• Working knowledge both of Agile and Waterfall/hybrid delivery methods, with the judgment to apply the right approach for the project or work that is planned.

• Strong facilitation, organization, and time-management skills, with a track record of running efficient meetings and driving decisions to closure.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Sound problem-solving and risk-management skills, with the ability to manage ambiguity.

• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills, with a willingness to share ideas and collaborate.
