Position Overview

This candidate will be responsible in supporting the planning, coordination, and administration of employee learning and development programs. This role partners with HR Business Partners and Talent Development to manage learning nominations, coordinate systems and information that support organizational development initiatives. 

District Overview

Kiewit’s Talent Development group works to empower Kiewit’s workforce with development tools at the right time, including corporate training schools and other learning resources. We work with every level of employee, from interns to executive leadership. This role performs and improves department processes and tools, provides best-in-class service to internal clients, and maintains data and reporting to help shape our training programs. Location

This position is based out of Omaha, NE and requires full time, in office attendance. 

Responsibilities

  • Learning Nominations: Lead the end-to-end process for corporate learning nominations. Coordinate with HR Business Partners on candidate selections, track attendance, and prepare review files for Talent Development leadership.
  • Skills and Competencies: Support the development and maintenance of company-wide competency and skill models. Assist in documenting and updating related frameworks.
  • HR Support Tickets: Coordinate and track HR support tickets related to training and development. Ensure timely follow-up and resolution in partnership with relevant teams.
  • Learning Management System (LMS): Provide support for LMS operations, including course setup, enrollment tracking, and data accuracy.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Maintain and update SOPs for learning and talent development processes to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Assessment Coordination: Assist with scheduling, processing, and invoice coordination for assessments and other development tools.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Compile and prepare data summaries and reports to support Talent Development initiatives and leadership reviews.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners and operations to help support development challenges.
  • Curiosity and interest in the future of work, skills-based organizations, and workforce planning.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of HR experience, preferably with exposure to talent management, OD, talent development, or related HR roles.

  • Ability to influence and collaborate across a matrixed organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR technologies (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors).
  • Proficient in LMS operations.
