Position Overview

Kiewit is seeking a mid‑level Piping Estimator to support estimating and execution planning for major industrial and energy projects. This role is ideal for candidates with strong piping takeoff experience, detailed pricing capabilities, and a solid understanding of piping construction.

You will work closely with engineering, construction, and project controls teams to develop accurate estimates, support bid strategies, and ensure alignment with project scope and execution plans.

Responsibilities

  • Perform piping takeoffs from drawings, models, and material lists.
  • Develop detailed piping pricing using MTOs and project specifications.
  • Support estimate development for EPC and construction projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to validate quantities, scope, and constructability.
  • Assist in preparing bid packages, cost breakdowns, and estimate documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and project planning sessions.
  • Ensure estimates reflect current market pricing, labor productivity, and project execution strategies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools, templates, and processes.

Qualifications

  • 4–10 years of piping estimating or piping construction experience.
  • Strong background in piping takeoffs and detailed pricing from MTOs.
  • Experience with piping construction methods, materials, and installation practices.
  • Familiarity with EPC project environments is an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must be available to work on‑site in Oakville (remote work is not available for this role).

Base Compensation: $85,000/yr - $130,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
