Position Overview
Are you passionate about the field of human resources? Kiewit is looking for a Human Resources Administrator who will support the Eastern Canada District in various administrative tasks and report directly to the Human Resources Business Partner.
District Overview
Eastern Canada District's projects include highways, bridges, mass transit, mine site development & open pit operations, hydroelectric powerhouses, wind-power plants, dams & industrial. They serve the construction and mining industries and operates in Eastern Canada.
Location
This position is based out of our Oakville office.
Responsibilities
- Assisting and coordinating district training initiatives (scheduling, attendees, documentation, preparation, etc.).
- Coordinates the district internship program.
- Assisting with the administrative tasks for the district workforce planning.
- Ensure HR data is accurate for the district and coordinate data entry with the center of expertise.
- Create HR ticket on behalf of projects including: offboarding, immigration assistance, org structure changes, etc.
- Assisting with onboarding and orientation: creating new hire paperwork and orientation materials, and coordinating new hire orientations and trainings.
- Support HR Business Partner with district initiatives.
Qualifications
- Training in human resources, industrial relations or administration desired.
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to prioritize and manage them to achieve desired outcome.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage many files at once.
- Ability to handle requests professionally and quickly.
- Strong work ethic and thoroughness.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- English language is required; French language is an asset. #LI-GH

Base Compensation: CAD $60,000 - $70,000
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
