Position Overview

We are seeking a scheduling manager to run a team of schedulers supporting a variety of markets in our Industrial division, which includes projects in Advanced Technologies (Data Center, Semiconductor, EV Battery, advanced manufacturing), Water/Wastewater, Mining, Chemical/BioScience processing, Food and Beverage,  Industrial and Campus Energy, to name a few!  As a scheduling manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall schedule processes, teams, reporting and integrity are maintained for the project.  Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting and reporting of Time Impact Analyses (TIAs), critical schedule progress analysis, and interface with both project, district and client management teams.  If you have 10 years in scheduling with at least 3 years leading and/or managing scheduling teams and experience driving project success, mentoring and critical thinking skills - we would love to talk with you!

Location

This position will be based at a project site in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin.  We do offer relocation assistance or per diem to the project based on skill and qualifications.    

Responsibilities

  • Accountability for the overall performance of the Scheduling team supporting the following:  
  • Oversee critical path method scheduling (via Primavera) for projects.
  • Oversee Master Schedule baseline development.
  • Track project deliverables & monitor physical percent complete (Quantity tracking)
  • Ensure compliance with contract management and the commercial teams in development and execution of Time Impact Analyses (TIAs), to support communication of impacts to the project, and management teams.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness for schedule updates, reporting and forecasting, and assisting in the development of “What-if” or alternate execution strategies.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and forecast current status against an established baseline schedule and train schedulers on that process.
  • Assess the impact(s) of changes and schedule slippages. Reports status of schedule to the appropriate project and Company management as well to the client.
  • Understand and apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships. Develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information. Standardize and teach best practices in scheduling functions
  • Provide coaching, direction, development, and performance feedback as well as appropriate project assignments to the scheduling team; Ensure the team resolves  scheduling problems in a timely manner. 
  • Ensure satisfactory schedule quality scores meet Kiewit standards and metrics through maintaining scheduling standards for the team.  

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.  If no degree, minimum of 10 years in Scheduling and Scheduling Management in Engineering and Construction.  
  • Advanced knowledge of construction technology, codes, standards, etc., plus an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units required. 
  • Experience working with project leaders, customers, and other staff managing all aspects of project controls with a focus on scheduling/planning functions.  
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, strong work ethic and professional demeanor and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment to meet intense deadlines, goals, and objectives.
  • Skilled in the ability to prioritize competing demands from upper management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Scheduling Software (P6 ideally).
