Position Overview
The Training & Development Coordinator is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and continuously improving all training and development efforts across the Industrial District, supporting both craft and staff populations. This role serves as the central point of accountability for district‑wide training administration, logistics, tracking, and alignment to the District Business Plan.
Using the District Training Plan as a foundation, this individual partners closely with District Leadership, HR Business Partners, Operations, and Corporate Talent Development to identify training needs, manage execution, ensure compliance, and drive measurable development outcomes. While trainers and subject matter experts will deliver instruction, this role owns the end‑to‑end coordination, governance, and effectiveness of district training programs.

Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Planning
- Partner with Industrial District HR Business Partners and Operations Leadership to execute the District Training Plan aligned to the District Business Plan.
- Use data‑driven analysis (LMS reporting, participation metrics, project needs) to identify training gaps, risks, and opportunities.
- Act as a consultative partner during business planning to recommend training solutions tied to workforce capability and readiness.
Program Coordination & Execution
- Serve as the district owner for coordination and continuous improvement of core training programs, including:
- New Hire Training
- Craft Training & Orientation
- Field Engineering Training
- Project Engineer Development
- Superintendent Development
- Senior Operations Training
- Coordinate trainers, instructors, facilities, schedules, materials, and logistics for in‑person, virtual, and hybrid training delivery.
- Ensure consistent execution and quality across projects and locations.
Administration, Tracking & Compliance
- Own training administration, documentation, and tracking across all district training activities.
- Maintain accurate records within learning management systems and district tracking tools.
- Ensure compliance with required training, certifications, and rotational development programs.
- Hold projects accountable to:
- Training plans
- Rotational development programs
- People Wall and workforce development commitments
Partnership & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with Corporate Talent Development to deploy established staff and craft training programs within the district.
- Support the development and maintenance of the District Development Plan.
- Collect feedback and performance data to continuously improve training effectiveness and learner experience.
Travel to project sites to support and facilitate on‑site training and engagement
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in training, development, or leadership roles, preferably within construction, industrial, or operational environments.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Passion for teaching, mentoring, and workforce development.
- Ability to confidently facilitate and communicate in classroom, virtual, and hybrid environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Working knowledge of adult learning principles preferred.
- Experience coordinating training delivery across in‑person, virtual, and blended formats.
- Experience with learning management systems and training metrics preferred.
- Construction or field operations experience is strongly preferred.
- Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) or similar credential is a plus.

Base Compensation: 80,000 - 100,000
