Position Overview
Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) is looking for a Senior Survey Manager to join our Existing Conditions team. This job position will support project pursuits and awarded projects by coordinating and managing KIE’s survey vendors. The candidate should possess enough experience to be considered a subject matter expert in the field of digital survey and be familiar with current technical tools, software, and CAD best practices regarding survey/LiDAR collection. The Existing Conditions team lays the groundwork for project pursuits, design and construction, ensuring the right level of accuracy and information in order to meet the needs of the project team.

Location
This role is based out of our Lone Tree, CO office.
Responsibilities
- Review client RFP documents to identify the estimating/design survey needs
- Work with the estimating/design team to define the supplemental design survey needs to incorporate into the vendors proposal
- Create requests for proposals
- Evaluate multiple responses to proposals and prepare recommendations
- Select third party vendor based on skill level, cost, availability, and licensing based on the state
- Work with business group to create Master Service Agreements and Task Orders for the required work
- Work with the estimating/design team to help develop and manage the third-party vendor’s budget and schedule
- Be the onsite representative to the third-party vendor as they perform their work
- Ensure vendor is operating in accordance with Kiewit’s Safety procedures
- Act as a liaison between third party vendor and extraction team
- Ensure the Quality Control procedures are followed to verify the survey/LiDAR accuracy
- Ensure the vendors provides the deliverable at the expected quality level, contract and design schedule
- Upon award of project work with business group to develop the task orders for permanent design work
- Review and coordinate all design survey requests with the selected vendor to meet the design schedule

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- 10+ years combined experience: Design survey and Construction survey.
- 10+ years Lidar exposure (Terrestrial, Mobile, Aerial), collection background.
- Travel up to 50% of the time.
- Working knowledge of the State Plane coordinate systems (grid vs. ground).
- Survey background in both office and field operations.
- Design modeling experience is a plus. (TBC, InRoads, OpenRoads, Civil 3D), expertise not required.
- Knowledge of drone technology (Part 107 license is a plus).
- Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-starter with the ability to set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality, and productivity
- Strong attention to details and problem solving/analytical skills
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work individually and as a team
- Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of basic computer technology.
- Strong understanding and ability to learn new software and PC based applications.
- Strong intra office communication across multiple mediums.
- Able to carry up to 50lb

Base Compensation: $108,000 - $140,000
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
