Position Overview
Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) is looking for a motivated Takeoff Engineer to join our dynamic estimating team. You will be instrumental in the success of large-scale alternative delivery infrastructure projects by performing accurate quantity takeoffs for specific work scopes using our proven tools, standards, technologies and processes.
This role provides an opportunity to collaborate with diverse engineering disciplines including Structural, Civil, Drainage, Roadway, Railway, and Digital Delivery, focusing on the development and tracking of construction quantities for complex and challenging projects. You will acquire invaluable, hands-on experience spanning both the design and construction phases, which accelerates the development of technical skills and deepens your understanding of how to track quantity design growth, a critical component for a

Location
This position is based in our Lone Tree, CO office.
Responsibilities
As a Takeoff Engineer, you will:
· Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for discipline-specific scopes using Kiewit tools and standards
· Review and validate quantities with Discipline Leads, Project Controls Managers, and project teams
· Interpret and analyze infrastructure drawings and specifications
· Support forecasting efforts by identifying and mitigating quantity growth
· Participate in site visits to observe construction activities and strengthen field understanding
· Prepare clear documentation and presentations for internal stakeholders
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is preferred; combination of education and experience that demonstrates the necessary skills and knowledge will also be considered.
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
· Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Solid decision-making abilities and a demonstrated work ethic
· Ability to access all areas of a construction site in varying climates
· Ability to meet deadlines and manage workload effectively
· Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites and offices

Base Compensation: $84,000/yr - $89,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
