Position Overview
Kiewit Building Group (KBG) has an opening for a Jr. level Estimator in our growing Estimating Group. You will be part of our rapidly growing Building Group Estimating Department, which includes civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, foundations, and materials disciplines,
District Overview
Kiewit Building Group specializes in constructing office buildings, industrial complexes, education and sports facilities, hotels, hospitals, transportation terminals, science and technology facilities, manufacturing, retail and special-use facilities and extensive interior construction with tenant improvements. Its capabilities include general construction, construction management, design-build, design-assist and turn-key project development. Kiewit also provides fast, accurate preconstruction project management services. .
Location
This position is based in our Lone Tree, Colorado office.
Responsibilities
• Review, analyze, and interpret Contract Documents (RFP, specifications, etc.).
• Perform all tasks related to quantity takeoff and pricing of design-build projects in the vertcial construction market.
• Coordinate with estimators and engineers/designers to provide constructability input and value engineering for preliminary project plans.
• Participate in Task Force Meetings, brainstorms, and working sessions with estimators and engineers/designers.
• Identify, quantify, and communicate Risk throughout the estimating process.
• Performing site visits and investigations as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred
• 1+ years’ experience in estimating
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Possess strong mathematical and computer skills
• Must be able to meet deadlines
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Candidates must possess a strong work ethic
• Work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies

Base Compensation: $80,000 - $89,180
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
