Kiewit Nuclear Solution is looking to hiring an early career structural engineer with dedication to renewable energy to join our growing team.

Responsibilities
- Perform intermediate calculations under the supervision of a more senior engineer.
- Solves problems using well established scientific principles.
- Perform static and dynamic analyses utilizing software tools with supervision of a more senior engineer.
- Actively participate in designing buildings and building foundations, equipment platforms and foundations, pipe racks, and miscellaneous concrete and steel structures.
- Prepare quantities, cost estimates, and other supporting documentation for projects
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and regulatory endorsed industry codes and standards for all deliverables.
- Follow and ensure compliance with Kiewit Nuclear Solutions Quality Assurance.
- Support preparation of estimates, FEED, Detailed engineering, procurement and construction support activities.
- Support preparation of project design criteria, design calculations, and technical specification documents.
- Support structural department tools and workflows initiatives.
- Interface with designers and review drawings prior to sealing them.
- Comply with engineering and project change management requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Master’s is an asset).
- EIT status (Passed PE exam is an asset).
- 1-4 years of structural engineering design experience.
- Familiarity with North American design codes.
- Good oral and written communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed (<25%) for business.
- Regular, reliable attendance.
- Work productively and meet deadlines timely.
- Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment Perform work safely and effectively.
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
- Work during normal core hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
- Work paid overtime as required.

Base Compensation: $95,000/yr - $100,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
