Position Overview
The Development Operations Specialist will be responsible for execution consistency, learner coordination, logistics, and administrative reliability across the Power Development Department. Using the district’s development calendar, they will generate a proactive positive reliable, consistent learner experience.
District Overview
Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar farm projects throughout North America.

This position is based out of Lenexa, KS.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Power Development Manager to accomplish the District Business Plan
- Leverage AI and automated workflows to streamline logistical requirements
- Manage rosters, attendance, learner communications support, calendars, reminders, room coordination, travel/room blocks, materials, supplies, surveys, post-class support, and closeout administration
- Maintain repeatable course execution processes
- Standardize execution across:
- New Hire Training Program
- Field Engineer Course
- Superintendent Course
- Project Engineer Course
- Senior Operations Course
- Power Development Initiatives
- Maintain digital content and project facing training material; utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Office to enhance content’s accessibility
- Act as primary knowledge manager for department
- Travel up to 20% of the time to facilitate on-site training

Qualifications
- Strong team player and attitude to help others
- Passion for teaching and mentoring
- Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Various experiences in operations, learning management, and/or teaching preferred
- Construction operations experience is helpful for this role
- Ability to learn and grow within the role
- Proficient Microsoft Office; SharePoint design desired
- Knowledge management experience is a plus
