Position Overview

As the Platform Technical Product Owner, you will be responsible for driving the technology strategy of Kiewit’s collaboration and enablement platforms. The Platform Technical Product Owner most importantly serves as a governing and enforcement subject matter expert able to set the direction for the platform and its future roadmap. This position is an experienced professional individual contributor role that reports directly to the Business Enablement Platform Manager responsible for governing Kiewit’s business enabling software. These platforms are SaaS offerings with real business impact to the greater company.

District Overview

Kiewit Technology Group’s (KTG) mission is to deliver project schedule and cost certainty by employing technology designed by and for the construction industry. Our team deploys apps to the field that increase profitability by maximizing the way we use our people and resources in daily operations. KTG uses the Kiewit Management System (KMS), which includes systems and tools that manage every part of Kiewit’s business and lifecycle of a project, to improve planning and day-to-day execution in the field by giving our people real-time data to make faster, smarter decisions. Location

This position will be based out of our Kiewit Business Center at 12720 I Street. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.  This position has a hybrid schedule that includes an option of working from home part of the time.

Responsibilities

Technical Roadmap & Requirements
• Assess the current state of the various enablement platforms like enterprise forms and collaboration tools like smartsheet and provide leadership to our organization to reach a more ideal state.
• Work in conjunction with Kiewit Technology Group’s architecture team to align the various collaboration and enablement platforms to existing strategic technology roadmaps.
• In conjunction with the Product Owners, gather input from users and stakeholders and synthesize into clear product requirements that drive business value.
• In conjunction with the Product Owners, review, prioritize and plan the roadmap of features.
• Define and drive the long-term technical product roadmap.
• In conjunction with the Product Owner, develop and execute a decommissioning strategy for products that have become a legacy solution or are no longer enterprise supported 
Leadership
• Provide the company business, leadership of the enablement platforms and guide its direction in a multi-layer organization.
• In conjunction with the Technical Owner, partner and gain buy-in of processes from stakeholders and users to create better cohesion and clear communication throughout the organization.
• Provide guidance and drive cross-functional initiatives & alignment with business, technology, and other product areas.
• Drive platform quality by verifying satisfactory testing results and ensure documentation/training is provided to technical and business support groups prior to release.
• Display first-rate customer service skills - willing to help with a positive attitude when/where needed.
Strategy & Vision
• In conjunction with Kiewit Technology Group Architecture, develop standards and operating procedures for utilizing the enablement software platforms.
• Understand the industry, trends in the industry, and our technology solution’s position in the industry and market.
• Seek out and continue learning about new and emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies that may arise within these platforms.

Qualifications

•3-5 years experience managing/owning Collaboration type software
• Experience facilitating strategy meetings and gaining group buy in.
•Strong communication skills both in person and using digital mediums. 
•excellent organization and time management skills to keep tasks on track and on time. 
•Ability to handle multiple concurrent platforms and understand how to best determine priorities of tasks.
