Position Overview

The Nuclear Market Learning & Development Lead is responsible for designing, developing, coordinating, and continuously improving learning programs that build the technical, leadership, and cultural capabilities required to support growth across the nuclear market.

 

This role serves as a strategic learning partner to market leadership while remaining closely involved in execution. The position will develop learning content, manage program delivery, coordinate logistics, partner with subject matter experts, measure effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement across market development programs.

 

This role is not intended to serve as the primary instructor for all training. Technical and operational content will often be delivered by Operations, Engineering, and other subject matter experts, while this position is responsible for designing the learning experience, developing content, coordinating delivery, and ensuring program effectiveness.

This position supports Kiewit Nuclear Solutions. Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is a full-service engineering, project management, and construction provider operating across North America. Location

This position is based out of Lenexa, KS, it is an in office position. 

Responsibilities

  • Learning Strategy & Program Development

    • Partner with market leadership to identify capability gaps and development priorities.
    • Develop learning roadmaps, development pathways, and capability-building programs aligned with business needs.
    • Design, develop, and continuously improve learning programs, content, and learner experiences.
    • Develop content in partnership with Operations, Engineering, and other subject matter experts.
    • Leverage adult learning principles, AI, and technology to improve learning effectiveness and scalability.

    Program Leadership & Coordination

    • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of market development programs.
    • Manage participant experience, communications, scheduling, logistics, materials, and instructor coordination.
    • Partner with Operations and Engineering leaders who facilitate technical and operational content.
    • Coach presenters and subject matter experts on facilitation techniques and learner engagement.
    • Facilitate selected development activities as appropriate.

    Learning Operations & Continuous Improvement

    • Maintain learning content, resources, and program materials.
    • Utilize Microsoft 365, SharePoint, AI, and automation tools to improve program delivery and accessibility.
    • Track participation, program effectiveness, and learner feedback.
    • Drive continuous improvement across development programs and learning experiences.

    Partnership & Workforce Development

    • Partner closely with HR, Operations, Engineering, and functional leaders to align development efforts with business priorities.
    • Support workforce, leadership, and technical capability development across the nuclear market.
    • Complement existing compliance-focused training programs and requirements.

Qualifications

  • Passion for developing people and creating high-impact learning experiences.
  • Experience designing, developing, and implementing learning and development programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
  • Ability to develop content in partnership with subject matter experts.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience leveraging technology, AI tools, and digital learning platforms.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, operations, workforce development, organizational development, or related fields preferred.
  • Nuclear industry experience is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
