Position Overview

Kiewit is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our security team within our nuclear district. This person will be responsible for managing and organizing all construction-related documentation as well as administrative tasks for Kiewit Nuclear Solutions projects. This individual will work closely with the security project team to ensure that all project-related documents are accurate, complete, and up-to-date. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the document management system, ensuring all documents are properly labeled and tracked, coordinating document control processes across various departments, and completing administrative tasks as needed.   

To execute this role effectively the Assistant should have a high degree of situational awareness and be technically proficient, able to work independently, proactive, flexible, adaptable, self-motivated, and a team player. The role necessitates collaborating with multiple projects and departments.

Location

Lenexa, KS. This is an in-office position.  

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a document control system that meets the needs of the project. 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.  
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper document control coordination.  
  • Ensure timely and accurate distribution of documents to all necessary parties. 
  • Ensure all documents are properly labeled and tracked. 
  • Develop and maintain document control procedures and processes.  
  • Manage the distribution and retrieval of documents, including hard copies and electronic copies. 
  • Ensure all project-related documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.  
  • Work closely with the Kiewit Nuclear Solutions security team to ensure compliance.
  • Perform clerical tasks including data entry, filing, photocopying, scanning, etc. Perform other administrative duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • One year of experience as an administrative assistant.  
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail  
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Be able to lift 15-20 pounds (office supplies, cases of paper). 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.  
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.

  • May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
