Position Overview

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking entry level I&C Designers. We are looking for ideal candidates to grow the Kiewit team by helping establish, maintain, and improve company standards and tools while also using these standards and tools to contribute to project success. Candidates shall be familiar with current drawing and technical tools, programs, and software with an understanding of design documentation creation and layouts. Candidates shall be capable of exhibiting flexibility in work assignments while maintaining a growth mindset and continuing to develop in their technical and professional career.

Location

This role is in Oak Ridge, TN or Lenexa, KS. 

Responsibilities

  • Completes non-routine assignments of limited scope within required timelines and budget 
  • Increases knowledge through training and practical experience 
  • Studies codes and standards to complete assignments 
  • Handles non-routine assignments with limited scope 
  • Follows company procedures, industry codes, and regulations while gaining experience 
  • Requests guidance from others and applies information received to contribute to the team 

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Automation Technology or High School diploma with at least 2 years’ experience 
  • 0-2 years relevant experience required 
  • Works under guidance from senior designer 
  • Adapts to changing work demands and maintains performance 
  • Communicates clearly in speech and writing; presents ideas professionally 
  • Works well in teams; accepts direction and contributes to team success 
  • Builds cooperative relationships and seeks input from various sources to find solutions 
  • Consults senior team members for direction 
  • Basic AutoCAD proficiency; able to interpret drawings 
  • Handles responsibilities and meets deadlines with supervision 
  • Must be a US citizen with documentation for badge access
  • Pass a security questionnaire and background check appropriate to position duties
