Position Overview
Kiewit is seeking motivated HR professionals to join our Employee Experience team — a high-impact group dedicated to delivering accurate, responsive HR support across assigned employee lifecycle services, with a primary focus on onboarding, offboarding, and employee experience programs. In a high-volume shared services environment, the partner serves as a trusted point of contact for employees, new hires, managers, and HR Business Partners (HRBPs), helping them navigate processes from pre-start through separation.
This is a Tier 2 role that applies sound judgement and HR process knowledge to understand requests, explain requirements and context, resolve issues within established policies and service guidance, and coordinate or escalate matters that require another team’s expertise or decision. The partner blends human connection with the latest HR technology, including AI-assisted insights, to create seamless, personalized experiences.

District Overview
HR Operations is an integral partner and service provider at Kiewit. In recent years, we have gone from decentralized HR groups to a unified, shared service team, with various HR Centers of Excellence. Our vision is to be a best-in-class international HR organization
Location
This position is based out of Omaha, NE or Lenexa, KS. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting and reqiures in-office attendance Monday-Friday
Responsibilities
- Lead new hires through onboarding, from pre-start preparation through their first days, ensuring they feel welcomed, prepared, and inspired and continue ensuring their onboarding success through their first week of employment.
- Partner with hiring managers, HRBPs, and HR teams to clarify responsibilities, address process barriers, and support readiness for the employee’s start, including relevant logistics and required follow-up.
- Coordinate offboarding activities in a professional and supportive manner, helping managers and employees understand required steps, tracking completion, and routing exceptions to the appropriate owner.
- Apply listening tools, feedback loops, and data insights to improve the employee experience.
- Work across HR functions to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
- Use technology and AI-enhanced insights to personalize experiences and streamline delivery.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience in HR, employee experience, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of HR processes, particularly onboarding, employee transitions, and offboarding; ability to learn and apply related policies, procedures, and service guidance.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills paired with relationship-building skills.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and comfort with evolving tools and technologies.
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
