Our rapidly growing Industrial Design Group, which includes process, electrical, controls, structural, architectural, geotechnical, and civil disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on EPC and design-build delivery of industrial projects in markets such as Food & Beverage, Consumer Products, Heavy Manufacturing, Industrial Buildings Industrial Water and Utilities. Primary Responsibilities
•    Works with a multi-discipline team to review and understand client operational and  
•    business needs; specifies equipment and contributes to design decisions that meets those needs
•    Evaluates, selects, and applies engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria for design of industrial projects
•    Formulates technical specifications and prepare interface points with vendors, clients, and construction partners.  
•    Schedules, reviews, and coordinates design efforts with other discipline Engineers and Designers, performing bid evaluations of equipment and construction proposals and developing recommendations for contract award. 
•    Assists in the preparation of electrical engineer designs, including layout, design schematics, calculations and conceptual design; utilize standard methods and project principles. 
•    Maintains a comprehensive understanding of departmental design standards, applicable engineering codes, and Kiewit guidelines; provide suggestions and recommendations as needed.
•    Reviews other Discipline’s deliverables for Electrical impacts and compatibility with the Electrical design. 

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university and Engineering in Training (EIT) license  
•    At least one-two years’ experience performing power engineering related duties 
•    Familiar with basic computer operation, and should have had at least introductory computer programming courses as well as the ability to use electrical department design software tools
•    Experience in field construction or startup power plant work and previous experience directing junior engineers is desirable
