Position Overview

Kiewit Industrial and Water Engineering (KIWE) is seeking a Mid-Level BIM Manager for the Lenexa, Kansas office. The successful candidate will play a critical role in enhancing project efficiency and coordination through the effective implementation of BIM/VDC processes. Your expertise in Revit, clash detection, modeling, Navisworks, and data management will be instrumental in driving project success.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years professional experience in Revit with at least 4 years of full time Revit experience, 3+ years professional experience in Navisworks and BIM360/ACC, and be proficient in Autodesk and Microsoft products. Additionally, they will need to have a good understanding of design documentation and data exchange.

Our rapidly growing Industrial and Water Engineering team, which includes process, mechanical, electrical, controls, structural, architectural, geotechnical, and civil disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on EPC (Engineer Procure Construct) and design-build delivery of industrial projects in markets such as Food & Beverage, Mineral Processing, Renewable Fuels, Pulp and Paper, Steel & Aluminum, Industrial Buildings, and Industrial Energy, Water and Utilities.

Responsibilities


•    Support the advancement of firmwide BIM practices and workflows 
•    Identify opportunities for the development of custom applications and automated processes
•    Create BIM related Policies/Processes/Procedures/Checklists/Templates/Quick Guides
•    Maintain, understand, and enforce governing BIM standards
•    Communicate any changes of BIM standards to project and discipline teams
•    Communicate project BIM requirements to both internal and external teams
•    Work with discipline leads to maintain consistency across projects, coordinate alternate approaches as project needs change.
•    Integrate third party libraries and tools into design and delivery workflows
•    Perform scheduled interdisciplinary clash detections
•    Develop and manage BIM Coordination schedules with project team
•    Acting as a stakeholder in managing requirements for downstream analytics from the PDW dataset, ensuring the creation of a cohesive narrative and unified project view
•    Managing requirements as a stakeholder for any customizations, applications, functionality, or other aspects related to the integrated 3D model
•    Generate regular reports on BIM progress and performance for management review
•    Stay up-to-date with the latest BIM technologies and industry trends. Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in BIM processes and tools.

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in a design or engineering program is ideal and a minimum of 8 years of experience using BIM based workflows
•    8+ years professional experience in Revit with at least 4 years of full time Revit experience
•    3+ years professional experience in Navisworks and BIM360/ACC
•    Proficient in Autodesk and Microsoft products 
•    Knowledgeable in 3D coordination with all trades
•    Knowledge of construction processes and procedures
•    Ability to read and understand Construction Documents and Submittals
•    Excellent organizational and communication skills
•    A passion for precision and accuracy in all aspects of work product.
