Position Overview

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers has an immediate opening for a dynamic Early Career Roadway Drafter in our growing office in Laval, QC. Looking for the ideal candidate to perform a variety of CADD production tasks related for highway / civil projects and miscellaneous support for construction. The Drafter should have a minimum experience in engineering plan production, be familiar with current programs/software, and CAD production practices.

Location

This role will be based in our Laval, QC Office

Responsibilities

- In office work primarily
- Work with engineering team in developing preliminary and final drawings and details.
- Participate in take off quantities and other related tasks
- Use MicroStation / AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software (SS2, SS4, ORD or C3D)
- Produce documents with MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Qualifications

  • DEC - Diploma of Collegial Studies in Civil Engineering Technology
  • Design experience or Design-Build project experience a plus
  • General knowledge of engineering principles and materials for highway / civil work
  • Read and understand construction documents
  • Knowledge in MicroStation a plus
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD
  • Highway design experience a plus
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • The ability to clearly communicate and collaborate well with Engineers and Designers in either French and English
  • 2 years minimum as experience in drafting
