Position Overview

As Yard Laborer, you will be responsible for supporting all yard and warehouse activities as designated by the Yard Lead and Material Manager. The Yard Laborer plays a crucial role in ensuring that the yard is firing on all cylinders. This may include preventative maintenance on equipment, checking equipment, unloading equipment/tools, and helping other Associates as needed.

Location

This position is based out of the Kiewit KC Yard located in Kansas City, KS.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment to support loading/unloading activities.
  • Process orders per project requests using Wynne System.
  • Clean up yard & warehouse.
  • Assist in loading & unloading.
  • Assist in stocking inventory racks.
  • Participates in safety walks and morning meetings.

Qualifications

  • One to three years of experience working in a related area.
  • Meet physical work requirements (able to lift 50 LBS).
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Pass the operator certification test.
  • Understands internal operating systems (Rental Results).
  • Basic computer skills.

•    Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
•    Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
•    May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
