Position Overview
As a Mechanical Equipment Estimator, you will prepare, review, and present estimates for projects in the nuclear power industry. In this role, you will be responsible for performing construction installation manhour and cost analysis, coordinating with multiple internal construction discipline estimators, and acquiring pricing for construction support services.

Location
The position is located in Lenexa, KS, Houston, TX, or Oak Ridge, TN.
Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical equipment estimates for complex EPC and bid/build projects.
- Analyze drawings and specifications to determine installation quantities and equipment needs.
- Prepare and review bid packages for subcontractors and suppliers.
- Create crane and equipment plans for mechanical installations.
- Review RFPs and project documents to ensure full scope understanding.
- Present estimates to internal leadership and external clients.
- Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to resolve scope gaps.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Stay current on industry trends, tools, and construction methods.
- Mentor and train junior engineers and estimators.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Construction-related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of construction, field, or estimating experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical scopes in large-scale EPC or bid/build projects.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and P&IDs.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and leadership skills.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Bluebeam, Hard Dollar, 3D Lift Plan, and/or SketchUp preferred.

Base Compensation: $95,000/yr - $99,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
