Position Overview

Kiewit Technology Group is seeking a SmartPlant P&ID (SPPID) Administrator to focus on our Oil, Gas and Chemical division. We are looking for ideal candidates to grow the Kiewit team by helping establish, maintain, and improve company standards and tools while also utilizing these standards and tools to support engineering project setup, maintenance, and improvement.

Location

This position is based out of Houston, TX. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed technical support for the SPPID software and associated systems and processes
  • Have a working knowledge of Kiewit standard P&ID drafting and data management practices, including the nuances between divisional processes
  • Provide direct customer service to engineering users for training, support and modification of project P&ID’s and their associated metadata
  • Provide new project creation for engineering divisions in support of using SPPID in their design efforts
  • Modify SPPID project setups and metadata according to the project’s needs, including reporting through a variety of means
  • Provide data mining assistance per custom requests from project
  • Develop a working understanding of associated software – S3D, SPI, and Kiewit internal reporting applications, and how they integrate with SPPID
  • Provide SPPID project auditing to Kiewit standards and client requirements on an as-needed basis
  • Coordinate project support with other design partners (both internal and external) including construction partners, equipment suppliers, and other engineers and designers assigned to the project as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting Technology or related field
  • Preferred experience with design software SmartPlant P&ID (version 2014 R2 or higher)
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, Inventor, or Solidworks is a plus
  • 8+ years of industry related design or drafting experience
  • Proficient in basic computing programs including the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with networked databases (Oracle or SQL) is a plus
