Position Overview
As a Labor Relations Administrator, you will serve as a key support role within the labor relations function, ensuring the efficient administration of labor agreements, grievance processes, and related documentation. You will coordinate office operations, maintain accurate records, and act as a liaison between management, employees, and union representatives. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and discretion in handling sensitive information, while supporting compliance with labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and company policies.
District Overview
Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar projects throughout North America.
Location
The position is based out of Homer City, PA.
Responsibilities
• Administer labor relations activities in compliance with applicable labor laws
• Interpret and support the application of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs)
• Coordinate office activities to ensure efficiency and policy compliance
• Maintain organized contract records, including correspondence, amendments, and change orders
• Manage labor relations files, grievances, and arbitration documentation
• Track grievance processes, timelines, and resolutions
• Prepare reports, summaries, and labor relations correspondence
• Serve as a liaison between management, employees, and union representatives
• Provide administrative support for negotiations, hearings, and labor-management meetings
• Maintain accurate databases for labor agreements and bargaining unit information
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance in handling labor-related matter;
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in labor relations, HR administration, or a related function
• Working knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and labor relations practices
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
• Strong organizational and record keeping skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR or labor relations systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Experience working with unionized environments preferred
