Position Overview

This is a shop or field position. The technician will assist in the operations of the HTS yard shop. This involves receiving, shipping, repairing and calibration of HTS equipment. In the field they will be responsible for on-site field heat treating. Running cables, wrapping welds with heaters, proper thermocouple placement, etc. Proper documentation is required as well.

Location

This position is based out of Freeport, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Develop understanding of the quality requirements related to assigned work.
  • Perform field heat treatment in accordance with code requirements.
  • Promote and maintain effective communications and relations (verbally and in writing) with supervisor and the project management team.
  • Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards and waring devices.
  • Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans specifications and industry standards.
  • Be motivated and work productively.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Must have the aptitude for highly technical work.
  • High school diploma or GEP is required.

  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment.
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
  • May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
