Position Overview
As the KCT Training Lead, you will drive the development and continuous improvement of construction technology training programs across Kiewit’s Survey and Machine Control operations. This role blends practical field experience with a structured, performance-driven training focus supporting Kiewit operations through the development, delivery, tracking, and continuous refinement of both digital and hands on training programs that improve adoption, capability, and field execution.
You will work closely with Kiewit Equipment Services (KES), operating districts, survey teams, equipment teams, operations leadership, and technology partners to identify training needs, develop standardized curriculum, deploy scalable training programs, and establish systems to monitor, audit, and continuously improve training effectiveness. Focus areas include (but are not limited to) machine control systems, survey equipment workflows, GNSS and total station usage, troubleshooting, and field best practices.

Responsibilities
- Understand and comply with all federal, state, and company health, safety, and environmental requirements
- Lead the development, implementation, and lifecycle management of construction technology training programs across multiple projects and regions
- Partner with operations, survey, and equipment leadership to identify capability gaps and convert them into actionable training roadmaps
- Design, build, and maintain structured training programs across multiple formats (hands on field training, classroom sessions, digital modules, job aids)
- Develop standardized curriculum for machine control and survey systems
- Establish training standards, certification pathways, and competency benchmarks
- Build and maintain documentation including training materials, SOPs, and job aids
- Implement systems to track training completion, competency, and adoption
- Develop feedback loops to continuously improve training quality
- Create auditing processes to ensure training is applied correctly in the field
- Monitor and report on training performance using dashboards and metrics
- Coordinate with field teams to ensure alignment with jobsite workflows
- Support onboarding of new technologies through training programs
- Establish communication across all levels to drive adoption
- Support specialty projects as needed
