Position Overview
As a CAD Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting survey operations and infrastructure development across key projects in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Working within ProjectWise, AutoCAD, and Trimble Business Center, you will perform essential calculations for survey requests and 3D machine control, ensuring precision and accuracy in field layouts. Your responsibilities include maintaining files for utility locations, potholes, and as-builts, and verifying designer CAD files against Plan PDFs to ensure alignment and quality.
Your work directly supports strategic infrastructure initiatives that enhance AI data center capacity, energy reliability, and community resilience. In Texas, construction is expanding data center capabilities to 1.2 gigawatts, while infrastructure upgrades bolster storm surge protection through floodwall and levee improvements. Louisiana is developing a major data center alongside a 1,500-megawatt natural gas facility on a 1,400-acre site, ensuring scalable energy delivery. In Mississippi, efforts focus on community development, including a new electric distribution center and the state’s first natural gas power station in five decades.
The South Central team is actively gathering infrastructure data to support the Power Group’s planning and execution, ensuring seamless alignment across energy, utility, and technology goals. Your contributions as a CAD Engineer are vital to delivering reliable, future-ready infrastructure across the region.
