Kiewit Energy Canada is seeking a Construction Site Administrator to support operations at our Edmonton Mod Yard. This role is embedded in an active construction environment and is critical to maintaining site access control, communication, and daily coordination of yard activities.
This is a field-based position and is not a traditional office role.

District Overview

Kiewit Energy Canada is a major industrial contractor that specializes a wide range of engineering, procurement and construction services to the oil, gas, chemical, ethanol and related process industries. Our projects involve construction of oil sands processing facilities, including steam-assisted gravity drainage facilities, refinery expansions, gas plant expansions, co-generation facilities, major mine developments and pipe spool fabrication. 

Location

This role is based on-site at an active construction Mod Yard in Edmonton.

Responsibilities

  • Control and monitor site access at the gate, including:
    • Signing in employees, visitors, and contractors
    • Verifying required documentation and site access requirements
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing deliveries:
    • Direct drivers and ensure proper site entry procedures
    • Communicate with site teams to support material movement
  • Act as a central communication hub using two-way radio and phone
  • Maintain accurate daily logs and records (personnel, deliveries, site activity)
  • Support site supervision with administrative and coordination tasks
  • Enforce and uphold site safety, security, and operational procedures
  • Regular interaction with trades, supervision, and delivery personnel

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience in a construction, industrial, or field-based administrative role preferred
  • Previous exposure to gate control, dispatch, or site logistics is an asset
  • Strong communication skills and ability to use two-way radio systems
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, high-activity construction environment
  • Proficient with basic computer systems and data entry
  • Must be able to comply with all site safety requirements and protocols
  • Reliable transportation to site
  • Ability to work standard project hours, with flexibility as required

Work Environment:

  • This role requires someone who is comfortable working in a hands-on, operational setting, not a traditional office environment. #LI-GH
