District Overview
Kiewit Data Services’ (KDS) mission is to make Kiewit the premier data-driven organization in our industry. To accomplish this, our projects and districts need to have the right data, of the right quality, with the right level of analysis, available to them at the right time. KDS is a cross functional organization with employees that have expertise in data, technology, support and operations backgrounds. Our core functions are data Quality, Governance, Enablement, Analytics and Data Science.
Location
This position is based in Lone Tree, Colorado area. Remote work maybe considered for candidates who resides and live within a reasonable distance from Lone Tree, CO, depending on their experience and qualifications. No relocation is offered for this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of analysts and developers. Monitor work demand, and determine the most effective resource plan based on the capacity of the team.
- Monitor functional strategies and manage projects through others.
- Deliver analyses and insights to stakeholders in clear business terms and identify results that drive action.
- Keep Kiewit at the forefront of technology by researching new patterns, trends and technologies and providing guidance to team on how to deliver/implement the best solutions.
- Manage team to provide robust content that helps senior management and HR leaders better understand the story and trends regarding their workforce.
- Empower HR business partners with improved tools and training to easily draw business-relevant insights from our people data.
- Develop collaborative and cross-functional relationships with other analytics teams to promote partnerships, data sharing, and enterprise dashboard initiatives
- Act as an internal consultant, point of contact, and trusted advisor for stakeholders within the organization.
- Continuously assess the data analytics needs of the business, prioritize initiatives, and drive clarity in requirements to successfully meet deliverables.
- Communicate and execute the Kiewit Data Services strategy to your team and implement. Oversee the specification, development, and implementation of new or redesigned processes, reports, and policies and procedures for internal use. Translate requirements into effective and impactful dashboards and reports that enable information sharing across the enterprise.
- Act as an internal consultant, point of contact, and trusted advisor for stakeholders both within HR and beyond.
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in systems and/or software development with North American technology and/or engineering companies.
- Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience performing as a technical lead with experience managing software teams and the ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed organization with executive exposure.
- Strong track record of successfully executing complex projects and/or projects relating to robotics, data and machine learning with multiple disciplines.
- Must be proficient and actively utilizing python and SQL languages.
- Must be proficient with Machine Learning and Robotics.
- Experience collaborating with senior managers to understand drivers of success and departmental goals.
- Ability to manage diverse teams and effectively integrate across groups and work streams where integration is critical to success
- Strong customer management skills; ability to manage more than one client.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (oral and written)
- Proven ability to self-direct work efforts and lead others
- Executive level presentation and communications skills
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
- Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail

Base Compensation: $175,000/yr - $190,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
