Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Trainer who is highly effective in instructor-led training environments for adult learners of varying backgrounds. The right candidate will apply their aptitude and work ethic to effectively and clearly explain concepts across a wide range of topics needed by heavy construction equipment maintenance employees, including but not limited to: software applications, program and people management principles, professionalism, time management, prioritization and delegation - building their confidence, reinforcing safe and effective work practices, and ensuring learners can apply skills immediately in the field. The ideal candidate will adapt in real time, translating complex equipment, process, and field realities into practical learning experiences.
In addition to this primary focus on direct instruction, the role will also require someone capable of creating and refining training materials, so they are clear, relevant, and impactful - ensuring learning directly supports field performance and career growth.
Managing learner enrollments, updating or recording certifications, and completing courses within an LMS is also a core function of the role.

This position is based in our Lone Tree, CO office.
Responsibilities
• Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for field and corporate employees
• Create an engaging learning environment that builds confidence and practical understanding
• Translate technical, equipment, and operational concepts into clear, relatable instruction
• Adapt delivery in real time based on learner engagement, feedback, and questions
• Build credibility with field teams by understanding real-world application of content
• Continuously learn equipment, processes, and operational workflows
• Partner with subject matter experts to validate accuracy and relevance
• Develop and update training materials that support facilitation (ILT, guides, activities, job aids)
• Reinforce learning through discussion, examples, and application-based exercises
• Evaluate learner readiness and adjust approach to improve outcomes
What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)
• Confidently facilitate training sessions across multiple audiences
• Demonstrate working knowledge of equipment and operational processes
• Clearly explain how training content applies in real-world scenarios
• Build credibility with field teams, managers, and leadership
• Improve training effectiveness through feedback and continuous refinement
Qualifications
• Experience in training, facilitation, operations, or related roles
• Strong facilitation presence and ability to engage a room
• Passion for teaching, coaching, and helping others learn
• Ability to quickly learn and apply technical or operational content
• Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics
• Confidence interacting with field teams, leaders, and new hires
• Experience delivering training in classroom, field, or virtual settings
• Working knowledge of adult learning principles
• Ability to create or modify training materials to support delivery
• Experience with tools such as Articulate, Microsoft Office, or similar is a plus but not the primary focus
• Willingness to learn tools to create content for training
Additional Information
• In-person engagement required across multiple locations in the Denver Metro area
• Approximately 10% travel to job sites to observe operations and apply knowledge to training

• Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
• Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
Base Compensation: $85,000/yr - $95,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
