Position Overview
Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) has an immediate opening for a mid to senior level Civil Engineer in our growing Transportation/Civil team. You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, and materials disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the Design-Build/Alternative delivery of infrastructure projects.

Location
This role will be based out of Kiewit’s Lone Tree, CO location and includes travel opportunities to project offices and work sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead highway and civil design tasks, acting in responsible charge as needed
Create preliminary design concepts and alternatives for highways and civil features to support cost estimating
Oversee creation of surface models utilizing OpenRoads (ORD), Civil3D and/or other similar design software
Lead interdisciplinary design coordination to ensure that project elements are compatible - Lead project technical meetings, provide coordination to resolve design issues
- Promote and implement data-driven design approaches and innovate technical solutions
- Establish and oversee project-specific design criteria and ensure contractual compliance through all phases of design
- Implement QA/QC procedures and support a culture of quality across project teams and disciplines
Execute final design of project elements such as roadway geometrics, roadway design plans, wall plan and profile sheets, and - Supervise, mentor and evaluate junior staff
- Support performance management and professional development of team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
- Registered as a Professional Engineer required
- 5+ years of civil / highway design experience with an emphasis on design-build projects
- Experience designing civil/highway/rail or other transportation infrastructure or similar projects
- Experience design-build and other alternative delivery models is preferred
- Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil3D and other relevant modeling / design platforms
- Proven ability to develop construction plans and deliver high-quality design packages for transportation projects
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, including preparation of technical memos and presentations #LI-MD1

Base Compensation: $112,000/yr - $130,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
