Position Overview

As part of the Site Establishment team, the Project Coordinator Co-op will report to the Senior Project Manager and will assist in coordination and management of various new buildings, including Fabrication Building, Warehouse and Administration Building, etc. This role will require continuous communication with all project team members and will provide supports to team members on various administrative tasks.

The Quality Control Inspector Co-op is a highly motivated self-starter who will assist our mechanical/civil team with various quality control inspection tasks on the project, depending on business requirements.

Location

This project is located on the DNNP site in the Municipality of Clarington, in the Regional Municipality of Durham.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and maintain construction inspection and test plans using the correct codes and customer specifications. 
  • Complete all associated records to document the status and results of performed inspections. 
  • Understand and interpret technical drawings. 
  • Verify that material meets Purchase Order, Code, Standards requirements. 
  • Initiate non-conformance reports when required. 
  • Identify and segregating nonconforming items. 
  • Collaborate in the development and maintenance of project specific procedures and work instructions.  
  • Collaborate with management for interface on Quality activities with internal or external organizations (customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and others). 
  • Verify that calibrated equipment is used during the performance of inspection activities. 
  • Support with the preparation of History File or History Docket.  
  • Promote safety awareness including adhering to safety rules and requirements. 
  • Other activities as required by Management. 

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Civil/Nuclear) is preferred. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written). 
  • Strong coordination and organization skills, with strict emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Strong report writing skills. 
  • Proficiently with MS Office Suite. 
  • Valid G license and accessible to a car 
  • Ability to work in-person at site office/trailer.

Base Compensation: $20.00/hr - $25.00/hr
