Position Overview
Kiewit Nuclear Canada is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support project communications for the Darlington New Nuclear Project (DNNP). Reporting to the Communications Manager, this role is responsible for developing, maintaining and executing internal and external communications that support project alignment, employee engagement and stakeholder awareness.
The Communications Coordinator works closely with project leadership, the client, and project partners to ensure consistent, timely and effective communication across the organization.

Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit and distribute project communications including memorandums, daily briefs, safety messages, milestone announcements and internal updates
- Support the development and execution of communication plans, strategies and programs aligned with project objectives
- Maintain a consistent DNNP brand identity across all communication materials
- Create project videos, visual content and photo stories to highlight key milestones and achievements
- Manage and update the DNNP intranet as a centralized source of project information
- Liaise with internal teams at all levels to identify communication needs and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Organize and coordinate logistics for project events, meetings and milestone celebrations
- Support the ordering and distribution of project swag and recognition materials
- Assist with employee engagement, culture change and retention initiatives
- Support the DNNP performance recognition program (SPARKs) in collaboration with stakeholders
- Work with the client and project partners to develop internal messaging that supports cross‑team communication and alignment
- Represent the DNNP communications function as part of broader program or strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- Diploma or equivalent experience in Communications, Public Relations
- Business or a related field1–3 years of experience in a communications or coordination role (construction or project‑based environment preferred)
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience preparing professional written communications and presentations
- Strong organizational, planning and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and CanvaComfortable working in both office and field environmentsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.
Ability to obtain security clearance at Ontario Power Generation (OPG)Willingness to travel as requiredValid Driver’s License

Base Compensation: $55,000/yr - $70,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
