Position Overview
The Communications Coop reports to the Manager, Communications and is responsible for effective project communications throughout the DNNP project.
The Communications Coop will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to not only increase our effectiveness in project communications but also sustain the benefits that are implemented.

Location
This project is located on the DNNP site in the Municipality of Clarington, in the Regional Municipality of Durham.
Responsibilities
• Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging.
• Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for DNNP communications internally.
• Interface with external stakeholders where communications to corporate teams are required.
• Liaise with corporate public affairs teams when required.
• Interface with corporate IT/IS teams where applicable to ensure the most effective technology is utilized.
• Maintain the DNNP employee recognition program in consultation with affected stakeholders.
• Prepare, edit, and maintain DNNP communications articles (Newsletter, SharePoint, Daily Crew Brief, etc.).
• Assist the Manager, Communications as required.
• Interface personally with the project teams at all levels to identify what the business/project needs are in the continuous improvement of our project communications.
• Interface with Communications teams to ensure alignment.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

• Strong computer skills using MS Office Products (Word/Excel/Visio/PowerPoint).
• Strong computer skills using Adobe products (Express, Premier Pro, Photoshop).
• An analytical mind with problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• A team player with leadership skills.
• Must be able to deal with sensitive issues confidentially.
• Problem-solving, planning and organizational skills; ability to prioritize tasks and work to timelines.

Base Compensation: $20.00/hr - $25.00/hr
