Position Overview

The Badging and Clearance Coordinator is responsible for supporting the security clearance process for all employees assigned to the SMR-X Project as well as, day to day preparation and handling of training material and records.

Location

This position is located at our active project site in Darlington, Ontario. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work various shifts, including nights, days, and weekends, to meet project demands. Embracing a work schedule that supports continuous safety oversight is essential to this role's success.

Responsibilities

  • Issue site access badge to SMR-X project personnel upon verification of eligibility
  • Maintain accurate tracking of all badges and corresponding employee information
  • Using badging software, perform updates to site access badge status based on changes in personnel eligibility and access permissions
  • Monitor inventory and maintenance needs for badging equipment and software
  • Initiate OPG Clearance Applications with SMR-X employees, subcontractors and potential new hires.
  • Assist in accurate completion and submission of clearance applications including verification of identification and supporting documentation as per OPG clearance procedural requirements.
  • Track status of clearance application progress for project personnel, follow up with applicants and OPG Clearance Office as required
  • Track and confirm completion of security clearance renewals, ensuring employees maintain active clearance status.
  • Ensure adherence to project security protocols and maintain confidentiality
  • Use of learning management system to update status of security clearance for project personnel
  • 5 days in-person on project-site

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum 2 years of office experience.
  • Very strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task on a regular basis.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other applications
  • Post-secondary learning in Business Administration, Business Management, Security, or relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate with associated department.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization. #LI-IS1

Base Compensation: $55,000/yr - $70,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
