District Overview

Kiewit’s Eastern District specializes in challenging heavy civil construction projects throughout the Northeast, including the metropolitan areas of New York, Chicago, Boston, and Washington DC.  We are leaders in bridge, transit, foundation, tunnel, and water/wastewater construction while specializing in cast-in-place concrete, structural steel erection, earthwork, pile driving, and caissons. Kiewit’s Eastern District also has a large amount of work in the energy/power sector in various northeast locations. With our experienced and dedicated employees, extensive resources and in-depth market knowledge, the Eastern District can handle projects of any size.

Responsibilities

•    For each Project, maintain vendor contact personnel information for vendor payroll submissions.
•    Utilize Internal Document Management System to:
o    Email to communicate to projects to identify vendors who worked each week/month
o    Forms to communicate to vendors to request compliance form submissions.
o    Forms to communicate to vendors to request vendor certified payroll submissions 
•    Oversight of all vendor Payroll: 
o    Paper Payrolls – for projects not utilizing internal tracker program, 
o    Responsible for obtaining payrolls and performing rate check review.
o    Vendor Payroll vs Daily Sign-in Sheet Review – responsible for performing Vendor CP vs Sign-in sheet reviews for any project with this requirement.  Responsible for follow-up with vendor on any Certified Payroll corrections needed
•    Provide submitted forms to manager for final review/approval before owner submission by Project designee.
•    Posting certified payrolls on the District Sharepoint library site.  If the job needs originals sending directly to the jobsite.  
•    Responsible for monthly submission of Vendor safety man hours (thru the Non-Employee Hours Recording App one month lag on submission)
•    Audit Vendors for compliance with union labor fringe payment obligations:
o    Unbonded Vendors:  Monthly confirmations with unions that benefits are current.
o    Bonded/SDI Vendors – Quarterly confirmations with unions that benefits are current.
o    Minority Hiring – obtain reports as required by Prime Contract.  Review prior to submission to Owner.
•    Other project compliance related duties as assigned
 

Qualifications

•    2+ years of experience managing subcontractor compliance.
•    Excellent customer service and collaborations skills; with the ability to connect and build relationships with others inside and outside the organization.
•    Ability to coordinate with a variety of corporate departments and districts.
•    Familiarity with construction industry, preferred.
•    Ability to work independently and think analytically with minimal oversight.
•    Ability to think innovatively to offer practical solutions for clients.
