Position Overview
Kiewit Foundations Co. is seeking an experienced Superintendent with hands-on expertise in deep foundation systems. This includes large-diameter drilled shafts for heavy infrastructure projects and small-diameter pile installations for tight-access or retrofit environments.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical proficiency and field leadership, effectively navigating geotechnical challenges across diverse project scopes. This role requires a proven ability to manage complex construction operations, uphold rigorous safety and quality standards, and drive successful project outcomes.
District Overview
Kiewit Foundations District specializes in geotechnical solutions, including deep foundations, ground improvement, and earth retention systems. We boast a large and modern fleet of specialized equipment to handle any project efficiently. A strong local presence allows us to quickly mobilize resources and provide high-quality service.
Location
Rotational travel to the job site is required for this position. Responsibilities
- Oversee field operations for deep foundation projects, including drilled shafts, piles, and other geotechnical systems.
- Supervise crews and subcontractors to ensure safe, timely, and budget-conscious execution.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to align on scope and deliverables.
- Manage equipment, materials, and logistics for large and small diameter foundation installations.
- Enforce safety protocols and quality control procedures.
- Mentor and support field staff, fostering a culture of safety, performance, and growth.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in deep foundations, including both large and small diameter work.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex construction projects.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience in heavy civil construction and geotechnical systems is preferred.
- Willingness to travel between projects as needed.

Base Compensation: $138,000/yr - $144,000/yr
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
