Position Overview

Our rapidly growing multi-discipline engineering group requires additional intermediate and senior civil engineers. Current projects underway include the design of green and blue hydrogen production facilities and associated blue products, solar and wind renewable power generation, large-scale CCGT power generation, lithium battery manufacturing, lithium recovery and processing, LNG, carbon capture and low carbon fuels just to name a few.

Location

These positions are based out of Calgary, AB but may also include short term relocations to alternate engineering centers. Alternate base locations could be considered. 
 

Responsibilities

  • Lead a civil engineering design team to complete the required design tasks on a project.
  • Or as part of a civil engineering design team be a senior civil engineering design contributor
  • Perform civil engineering design work that will typically include the design of roads, drainage, grading, domestic/fire water system, stormwater management system, engineering reports and design drawings.
  • Ponds and pond liner systems. 
  • Work with project team as representative and coordinates work within discipline department.
  • Provide guidance, leadership and training to less experienced designers. 
  • Review and or check the work of other civil engineers and designers.
  • Independently develop and manage effective and efficient discipline deliverables utilizing industry and company standards. 
  • Review application of standards and make suggestions on improvements needed 
  • Serve as a resource to the civil engineering department, to assigned projects and to the construction team.
  • Be aware of the project cost estimate basis and manage the design to maintain material quantities while maintaining the design intent. 
  • Perform assigned work efficiently and effectively to maximize person productivity.
  • Review vendor documentation and comment as it applies to the client and project needs.

  • Field support including RFI management, field reviews, constructability reviews and site inspections.
     

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

  • 5 -10+ years civil engineering experience.
  • Construction support and field experience.
  • Work experience in leading engineers.
  • Undergraduate degree in civil engineering.
  • Professional engineer (P.Eng) designation.
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. 
  • Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives.
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
