Position Overview

We are seeking a Sr. Project Scheduler to support Advanced Technologies projects within our Industrial group. As one of North America's largest and most respected engineering and construction organizations, Kiewit offers long-term career growth, strong leadership, and industry-leading resources.

In this role, you will develop and maintain resource- and cost-loaded project schedules, monitor critical path activities, analyze project performance, and provide schedule forecasting and reporting. You'll collaborate closely with engineering and construction teams while leading and mentoring other schedulers.

This position is ideal for someone with 10+ years of scheduling experience on large or mega projects, strong attention to detail, and a passion for driving project success through planning, scheduling, and team leadership.

This position is based out of Abilene, TX.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of schedulers on large and mega projects, ensuring schedule quality and accuracy.
  • Partner with project teams to develop and maintain schedules from planning through construction.
  • Develop and manage resource-loaded schedules, milestones, procurement activities, and critical deliverables.
  • Establish schedule logic, durations, resource allocations, and manpower forecasts.
  • Analyze schedule impacts, delays, and changes, providing updates and recommendations to project leadership and clients.
  • Maintain critical path schedules and support forecasting using historical and project performance data.
  • Prepare progress reports, schedule narratives, and time impact analyses.
  • Review drawings, specifications, contract requirements, change orders, and schedule compliance.
  • Coordinate baseline, revised, and recovery schedules with project teams.
  • Track productivity, manpower, and project progress to support forecasting and reporting.
  • Support bid schedule development and interface with clients, owners, and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain thorough schedule documentation to support delay analysis and contract requirements.

Qualifications

•    10+ years’ construction scheduling experience, including three years of proven leadership experience directing scheduling functions;  Experience with cost loaded schedules.
•    Experience leading a team of Schedulers on large/mega projects.
•    Experience with Datacenters is a plus, but not a necessity. 
•    Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., plus an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units
•    Working knowledge of standard cost control methods utilized in the execution of various types of project (EPC, Joint Venture, Lump Sum, time and Material, Maintenance).
•    Advanced skills in Primavera (P6), and other company-specific software
•    Bachelor’s degree in construction management, or engineering preferred. Technical training or related experience will also be considered.
