We are adding a Quality Specialist to our Kiewit Industrial team to support Quality Inspection, Field inspection and Quality Auditing for Construction projects around the United States.  In this role, you will provide Quality oversight, for the construction team, to ensure our projects are built to the quality requirements, specifications and client requirements required.

Location

This role will require relocation or travel to project sites, for the duration of the project, around the country.  Relocation and/or per diem is provided while on the project.  

Responsibilities

  • Provide system quality control support by conducting inspections and testing on electrical components.
  • Support team members in their roles as a program focal point for quality assurance, acting as a liaison with other functional departments.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the project scope and schedule as they relate to his/her specific assignment.
  • Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered. Take corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist with identifying and reporting rework and non-conforming issue.
  • Provide system quality control support by conducting inspections and testing on electrical components.

  • Assist with identifying and reporting rework and non-conforming issue.

Qualifications

  • Self-starter with exceptional organization and interpersonal skills
  • At least 5 years in Quality and field inspection, quality auditing, and surveillance for construction.  Working knowledge of the specific trade of discipline as assigned, with associated special processes, inspection and testing techniques 
  • Working knowledge of construction industry codes relating to area of expertise (i.e. ACI, AWS, ASME, NEC, etc.)
  • Associate degree in engineering technology, construction or quality preferred plus 8 years years’ experience in a related construction field or a high school graduate or equivalent (GED) plus 10 years’ experience in a related construction field 
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures, tracking and reporting, material/equipment quality review and experience reviewing completed work packages to ensure drawings/specifications and client requirements are met. 
  • Experience with industrial construction preferred.
