Position Overview

The evening Merchandise Operations Administrator will provide on-site administrative and operational support for the project’s evening merch store operations. This role is responsible for conducting inventory counts, restocking merchandise, maintaining accurate records, and managing the program’s currency system. The Administrator will work closely with on-site staff to ensure the store operates efficiently and remains organized and secure during evening hours. The working schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable handling inventory control and transactional processes in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Location

This position is based on-site in Abilene, Texas. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide evening on-site administrative and operational support for the program merch store, ensuring smooth day-to-day store functions
  • Conduct regular inventory counts, maintain accurate inventory records, and coordinate timely restocking of merchandise
  • Manage and track the program’s internal currency system, including issuing, reconciling, and documenting transactions
  • Support on-site team members by responding to operational needs and assisting with store-related projects and initiatives
  • Maintain organized records related to inventory usage, currency circulation, and store activity; prepare simple reports as needed
  • Handle basic purchasing tasks related to store supplies and merchandise, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy
  • Assist with clear written communication to onsite staff regarding store procedures, inventory updates, or policy reminders
  • Ensure the store remains organized, secure, and compliant with program guidelines during evening operations

Qualifications

•    Prior retail experience preferred
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Strong expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
•    Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, as needed
•    Outstanding attention to detail and strong organizational skills
•    Ability to maintain strict confidence of important, sensitive information and materials
•    Enthusiastic team player with an interest in helping the team stay connected and working effectively together
