As a Material Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting project teams by managing, analyzing, and integrating material data from multiple sources including vendors, clients, engineering teams, and project stakeholders.
This position serves as a bridge between data analytics and field engineering, helping develop and maintain the project's virtual inventory by consolidating large volumes of material information into accurate, reliable, and accessible datasets. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with data management tools, databases, and programming solutions to improve efficiency and data quality.

Location
This position is based on-site in Abilene, Texas full-time.
Responsibilities
- Collect, organize, validate, and maintain material data received from vendors, clients, engineering teams, and project stakeholders.
- Support the development, maintenance, and optimization of the project's virtual inventory system.
- Analyze large datasets to identify discrepancies, trends, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Develop tools, reports, dashboards, and automated solutions to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
- Utilize programming and data analysis techniques to transform and consolidate information from various sources.
- Collaborate with field engineering, procurement, supply chain, project controls, and construction teams to ensure material information is accurate and current.
- Perform data quality reviews and troubleshoot inconsistencies across multiple systems and databases.
- Create and maintain documentation related to data processes, workflows, and reporting methodologies.
- Support project teams with material tracking, forecasting, inventory visibility, and reporting needs.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes through automation and technology-driven solutions.
- Assist with special projects and additional administrative or project support functions as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics, project administration, engineering support, material management, supply chain, or a related role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large and complex datasets.
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SQL, Access, or similar data management and reporting tools.
- Programming experience with Python, SQL, VBA, or other automation tools preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting engineering, construction, procurement, or material management functions is preferred.
