Position Overview

Kiewit’s Industrial District is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to support a major construction project in Abilene, Texas. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials, equipment, and resources are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule to support field operations.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and demonstrates strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Location

This role is based in Abilene, Texas. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate delivery schedules for materials, tools, and equipment to meet project timelines
  • Track shipments and proactively resolve delays or discrepancies
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between vendors, suppliers, and project teams
  • Manage onsite logistics including laydown yard organization, inventory tracking, and material receivingEnsure compliance with company safety policies and transportation regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including shipping logs, delivery records, and reportsAssist with procurement coordination and expediting critical materials
  • Support field teams with logistics planning for major equipment and large deliveriesIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce cost within the logistics process

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or construction coordination (industrial construction preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams); experience with logistics or ERP systems a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
  • Familiarity with construction site operations and material management processes preferredAbility to travel or relocate to project site as required
