Position Overview
We seek an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects focusing on heavy civil and marine work in the Savannah, GA area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the project's overall direction, completion, and financial success. You will direct and supervise project administration, superintendents, and engineers, establishing operational priorities and maintaining effective relationships with owners, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

TIC - The Industrial Company is a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation. TIC Marine and Heavy Civil self-performs projects with company-owned equipment for public and private sectors. The markets we operate in include dock construction and repair, bridge construction, road construction, mechanical bridge rehabilitation and retrofitting, foundation pile, erosion control structures, drainage structures, shop fabrication, industrial maintenance and varied concrete work

Responsibilities
- Ensure projects meet or exceed financial objectives by overseeing and monitoring each development stage.
- Coordinate daily/weekly meetings with area superintendents and project engineers to develop methods, schedule contracting needs, and manage long lead delivery times.
- Manage all field operations and work sequences in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- Review project estimates to determine job costs, procedures, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
- Oversee and approve monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections; review, approve, and negotiate change orders.
- Anticipate project needs with sufficient lead time to avoid production delays; establish work plans and staffing for each project phase.
- Form and lead an effective project management team, define and delegate responsibilities, and set goals.
- Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
- Communicate effectively with department leads regarding work scopes.
- Ensure project superintendents understand and execute the required work.
- Maintain safety, quality, and production standards.
- Manage project closeout, including paperwork, retainages, supporting supervisors, and expediting claims.
Qualifications
- Bring to the role a minimum of 10 years of experience in managing construction projects with a focus on Infrastructure, Bridges, Docks, and Marine projects.
- A bachelor's degree in construction engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrate proficiency in project scheduling, cost control, and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Possess the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Display excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
- Showcase strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently.
