Position Overview
As a Project Engineer, you will be crucial in successfully executing marine and heavy civil construction projects. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will oversee field and office engineering tasks, ensuring project quality, safety, and efficiency. Your expertise will be vital in interpreting designs, managing project documentation, and supporting field operations and project management.
District Overview
TIC - The Industrial Company is a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation. TIC Marine and Heavy Civil self-performs projects with company-owned equipment for public and private sectors. The markets we operate in include dock construction and repair, bridge construction, road construction, mechanical bridge rehabilitation and retrofitting, foundation pile, erosion control structures, drainage structures, shop fabrication, industrial maintenance and varied concrete work.

Responsibilities
- Perform project scheduling.
- Manage revenue, cost, and cash flow.
- Oversee temporary engineering.
- Manage permanent design and quality control.
- Handle project closeout.
- Maintain client relations.
- Assist in operations planning.
- Administer contracts and subcontracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of work experience in construction, preferably in heavy civil projects.
- Experience managing engineers.
- Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative.
- Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
- Passion for safety, with the ability to help ensure that nobody gets hurt.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
