Position Overview
As the Quality Inspector, you will lead and oversee quality operations at the project level. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with quality objectives, quality control programs, relevant codes, and standards.
District Overview
Kiewit Power Constructors provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar projects throughout North America.
Location
This unique opportunity offers the chance to travel extensively across the United States to work on diverse and challenging projects. Currently we are hiring for candidates for a project in Homer City, PA.
Responsibilities
- Track and analyze production, forecast productivity, and provide corrective actions for the project, maintaining a deep understanding of all relevant account codes.
- Optimize production and quality through thorough evaluation of production processes, consumables, equipment, planning, and training processes.
- Support training needs at local unions and assist Quality Control in troubleshooting weld defects and providing necessary corrective actions.
- Assist field staff in identifying correct weld procedures, welders, and participate in project planning for welding operations.
- Designate filler metal requirements, manage welding gas distribution systems, and conduct on-site staff welding training as necessary.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in welding management on construction projects, demonstrating a track record of success.
- Preferably possess a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related field, showcasing a strong educational background.
- Expertise in Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Quality Performance Requirements (QPRs), welding standards, and training methodologies for driving quality and efficiency.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
- Readiness to travel extensively to job sites across the United States, embracing diverse locations and projects.
